The truth of the matter is that the faster you catch these problems, the better we can deal with them. In addition, we have a few different methods of sewer repair that can help you get your system back up and running without taking forever to do it or destroying things in the process.
Cure- In- Place
One of the methods we use is known as Cure- In- Place, or CIP, sewer repair. This is where we essentially create a brand new sewer line inside of your existing old one. It is done by carefully guiding an uninflated bladder that you might think of as a balloon through your old line and then inflating it inside the compromised line. The entire thing is coated with resin and a special epoxy that bonds to the inside of your old sewer line. Once it cures, we are then able to deflate the bladder or balloon and then pull it back out. The resin and epoxy mixture stays in place and you effectively have a brand new sewer line that doesn’t have all of the problems that the old one has. It is something that we can do by digging just a couple of holes instead of digging up your entire yard or worse yet, having to destroy floors and walls in your house in order to get to the affected pipe.
This is another method that we frequently use and even though the name sounds destructive, it is not nearly as destructive as it initially seems. It does entail the complete destruction of your old sewer line and is usually something that we do when the damage is so severe that there is virtually no other way to repair it. It is a method that we commonly use when brand new pipe absolutely must be put in place in order for the system to maintain its integrity. However, we can do it by only digging a couple of small holes and then using a special system that goes into the old pipe and bursts it from the inside out. We then lay new sewer line in exactly the same spot where the old one was. Essentially, it minimizes the amount of time that you have to spend dealing with all of the drama that naturally comes with having people performing work at your house or business and it allows you to get back up and running in the least destructive manner possible.
